RendaPerto is a local services platform built for Brazil's countryside towns. It connects residents with verified workers who live nearby for everyday tasks: cleaning, small repairs, furniture assembly and more. Pilot city: Resende, in the state of Rio de Janeiro.
Our real competitor is the WhatsApp group
In small Brazilian cities, hiring help doesn't happen on marketplaces. It happens in neighborhood WhatsApp groups and by word of mouth. It works, but nobody checks who is coming to your door, there is no track record, and prices swing wildly. Big-city apps never really landed here: they chase volume in the capitals and charge workers for every lead, whether the job closes or not.
RendaPerto organizes what the town already does, without breaking how the town works: neighbors hiring neighbors, now with identity, background and reputation behind every profile.
How it works
Describe the task
The client writes (or speaks) what they need in their own words. AI classifies the task and suggests a fair local price range.
Nearby workers apply
Verified workers within reach get notified and apply. Ranking favors proximity, rating and reliability, and it can always be explained.
Agree and chat in-app
Client and worker agree on a price and talk through the built-in chat. Phone numbers are never exposed to either side.
Code and mutual reviews
A 4-digit completion code confirms the job was done. Both sides review each other, double-blind, so ratings stay honest.
No worker appears in search before passing all of this
Identity, verified by face
Government ID plus a guided selfie, matched by facial recognition. The person on the profile is the person at your door.
Federal Police record
Criminal record certificate issued by Brazil's Federal Police, requested and validated automatically.
State court certificate
Criminal background certificate from the State Court of Justice of Rio de Janeiro, requested from the court for every worker.
National arrest warrant check
A query against Brazil's national arrest warrant registry, kept by the National Council of Justice (CNJ).
When every source comes back clean, approval is automatic, usually within minutes. Anything less than clean goes to a human review queue: the system never rejects a person on its own. On top of that: adults only, sensitive categories (childcare, elder care, passenger transport) deliberately kept out of the catalog, and one-tap report and block with preventive suspension.
Under the hood
One codebase, every screen
A React progressive web app, wrapped with Capacitor for Google Play and the App Store. Built mobile-first for entry-level Android phones on slow networks.
Geo-matching that can explain itself
Postgres with PostGIS finds workers by real distance, and the ranking (proximity, rating, history, response time) is explainable by construction, in line with Brazil's data protection law (LGPD).
Applied AI with guardrails
A language model turns free-form requests into catalog tasks and price ranges through strict structured outputs, with a keyword fallback and a daily usage cap. AI suggests; it never decides alone.
Self-healing verification pipeline
A queue-based KYC pipeline calls official Brazilian sources, retries transient failures on its own and escalates to humans only on edge cases. Row-level security on every table.
